4th of july wreath
I have been thinking of my next craft, and since I'm so into wreaths right now I decided to make a 4th of July wreath. I still have yet to get the materials and sit down and create. I invited my neighbor Anita, by doing it with someone I feel obligated and know I will actually sit and finish it. When I start the wreath I will post pictures of how it was made step by step.
happy birthday!
It was Ron's 38th bday and I took him to celebrate at the Melting Pot (can I just say yummmm), we then strolled along Glaslamp, to walk off the meal. We had a great time. Before leaving to the restaurant we have Ron his presents we bought him a shirt and a watch. It was a good evening. Lex was not happy he had to stay behind.

Easter 2013
Easter, was fun we did egg dying, and then we hid the eggs and the little ones went in search of the eggs. There was one golden egg and of course, the older boys found it! Max caught on pretty quick and he took off on his own to get as many eggs as he could. Ron, pretty much just stood back and admired his little mans independency. For Easter, I made chicken red pozole, which is just a stew with hominy, chicken, and pasilla chile sauce. It was garnished with shredded cabbage, lemon, and radish (I'm not a fan of radish so I skipped it). Not bad for being my first time cooking it. Overall it was a great day spent with family. After all was over and everyone left I started thinking of the true meaning of Easter, I'm humbled to know Jesus died for me and kept true to his word of resurrecting. That is a great love! Happy Easter!!!

Time to play in the dirt
Now that the weather is nice Max and I have been playing outside with dirt. He loves digging in dirt and loves discovering worms and Rollie pollies. And loves to share all his findings with me, eek!

happy new year 2013!!!
Happy New Year everyone. I can't believe 2012 is gone but not forgotten, right? It was a year with lots of love, laughter and tears. Both my boys left the old year sick and entered the new year sick. Lex, had vomitting, high fevers and chills. Max, had a rash with blisters (not chicken pox) all over his body, when I say all over I mean between his toes and fingers, on his palms and bottom of feet, inside and out of his mouth, everywhere! He also had super high fevers (sometimes motrin and tylenol weren't helping), running nose and congestion with an infected throat. We were in and out of urgent care and emergency room with no diagnoses. I then took him to urgent care again because this whole thing didn't feel right and I was not satisfied with how aloof the doctors were acting. He saw a wonderful P.A. who diagnosed his with Coxsackie Disease, in other words it was Mouth, foot disease. On top, of that he had an allergic reaction to Amoxicillin. New medication was given for his sore throat and would you believe it worked. He wasn't completely back to normal but it was a whole lot better then before. Now his rash is drying and slowing diminishing. What a scarey time it was for all of us. just to see our beautiful little one year old sick and no one not knowing what was wrong with him. Lex, is better his fever broke yesterday when he was sweating like crazy after that no more fever nor was he vomitting. Having children is difficult but so rewarding when they are healthy. Now it's time to enjoy the new adventure this year will be giving us.
